Nutrition Project

A rigorous survey that was been conducted by the district administration of Barmer, Rajasthan wherein an alarming extent of undernourishment among children in the area came to light. The report highlighted that a distressing number of 542 children were identified as severely malnourished, requiring immediate attention. Responding to this critical situation, the Deputy Director of Women and Child Development, Barmer, made a formal appeal to Vedanta, Cairn Oil and Gas (CSR) division, urging them to provide nutritious supplements for these vulnerable children.

In response to the appeal, Dhara Sansthan, took up the initiative and efficiently distributed a total of 2,710 boxes across all 16 project areas. These boxes contained essential nutritional supplements, aiming to combat the severe acute malnourishment that afflicted the children.

Moreover, a staggering 2,81,840 laddoos were also distributed by Dhara Sansthan, starting from the 27th of June, 2022. This concerted effort and distribution of vital resources intended to alleviate the pressing concerns of malnourishment among the affected children and contribute to their improved well-being and health.
